This company started as an informal platform called BME Social Worker Connector offering training, advice and guidance to international social workers aspiring to launch their careers in the UK.
We started this forum way back in 2018, volunteering time and resources to support international social workers and their families relocating to the UK. What is new and formalised is the company to take up this important task as there is huge demand for this important service. Up until now, we have ensured international social workers coming to the UK have a community to provide emotional support, pastoral services, counselling, therapy, good practices training, motivation and a platform to seek and get help on how they could be empowered to transfer their experiences, skills and knowledge to their UK practices.
The important arm of our company remains over 500 international social workers. We are proud to have built this important resource. There are three WhatsApp groups established since 2018.
193 social workers not registered or in the process of registration with Social Work England. All of them are highly experienced but lack financial resources to register with Social Work England since most of their economies in home countries are collapsed. We plan to establish a Revolving Sustainable Fund to support them register and move their careers forward...

For long, I had remained outside. I joined this training platform a year ago. I have trained in many areas of UK social work practice- legal framework, analysis in assessments, role of social workers in safeguarding. I have been training weekly for a month now. I like UK direct work with children and putting voice of the child at the centre. I will not struggle integrating into UK social work practice. I can’t wait for my first interview. The Advanced Practitioners helping us use simple examples.
